How to Work on Amazon
Amazon is one of the biggest online hubs for sellers around the globe. It needs a constant flow of people working for it day and night to keep it running.
There are several ways Amazon offers jobs to potential freelancers.
- Internships/ Students: Amazon offers internships to talented students to start them young. They help you hone your skills and prepare you for future employment opportunities.
- Amazon Fulfillment Centre: Fulfillment centers of Amazon are located worldwide. They help with customer service and delivery of products to your doorstep. Of course, for these jobs, you have to be located where Amazon has its fulfillment centers.
- Remote/Virtual Jobs: This is the option for freelance virtual workers. Amazon hires plenty of Customer Service Associates to help with the constant influx of business. This kind of job has a few requirements you must be able to fulfill: Must be located on US soil in individual states; must have one year experience in Customer Support; must have a steady internet connection and last but not least you must have a computer system that matches their specification/requirements.
If working from home is what you are looking for, then the third option is obviously suitable for you. They have the right salary package and an even better bonus during holidays like Christmas, Easter, etc.
Working on Amazon from Pakistan:
If you are a seller from Pakistan looking to sell on Amazon, there are a few hurdles you’ll have to cross before being able to do that. The thing is, Pakistan is not on the list of countries that Amazon allows selling from.
But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a workaround for that. Search on Amazon for the list of countries that are allowed to sell there. If you select the US as an option, you will need an LLC (Limited Liability Company) set up and then a bank account to go with it. Getting a bank account in the US is difficult because of all their tax laws. So if you choose the US as an option, you will need to do a lot of research on that to be legit and not get into trouble.
The more comfortable option would be to choose a country like Estonia. All you need will be an Estonian E-resident Identity. That will help you to open up a PayPal account. Using that, you will have to set up a company you will use for your Amazon business. Remember to go through Estonia’s Tax laws to better understand tax laws to avoid fraudulency.
Another option is to ask one of your family members or friends that already live in Amazon Approved countries to open up an account for you in their name. Choose the country that has the lowest rate for opening up a corporation.
Millions of people in the world use Amazon for their business. Now you can be a part of this colossal organization and use one of the methods mentioned above.
